ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Naeemul Haq on Friday hoped that opposition parties will demonstrate serious posture in the parliamentary proceedings.

“We respect court’s decision of granting bail to Shehbaz Sharif and hope he will adopt positive gesture in the National Assembly,” Haq said, while talking to the news men in the federal capital.

He said an important session of the National Assembly is scheduled for Monday, in which Prime Minister Imran Khan is also expected to address.

He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf will also hold a meeting with the opposition parties on Monday before the National Assembly session in order to evolve a code of conduct for smooth proceedings of the house.

The Lahore High Court accepted Shehbaz Sharif’s request for bail in the Ashiana-i-Iqbal Housing Scheme and Ramzan Sugar Mills cases on Thursday.

A two-judge bench headed by Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad had ordered Sharif to submit two bonds of Rs. 10 million in the court as surety.

Shehbaz Sharif after the court’s decision called it a victory of truth. “The day is not far when the clouds of allegations and political victimization will disperse,” he said.
