Ayyan Ali was ordered to submit two surety bonds of Rs. 1 million each. The court has directed authorities to return the supermodel’s passport back to her.

Ayyan Ali’s passport was seized after the Interior Ministry had placed her name on the Exit Control List. As a result, the supermodel had submitted a petition for the return of her passport.

During proceedings, the Customs Department had pleaded the court not to return to her the passport, on fears that she would flee the country. A customs officer stated that other suspects were also involved in the plan.

She was arrested at Benazir International Airport by Airport Security Force officials for carrying $506,800 on March 14 of this year. Ayyan was arrested from the airport after she was about to board a Dubai-bound flight. A case of currency smuggling was filed against the model, as it was alleged that she was about to flee the country with the above stated amount.

Ayyan was sent to Adiala Jail, where she remained there for a little over than four months, after which she was released on bail. Following her release, the ‘Dollar Girl’ has had to attend several hearings of the court, before she was finally indicted last Thursday.
