Rift between Hashmi, PTI still severe

LAHORE: The chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan has made a telephonic contact with party leader, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi, who has reportedly parted himself from the Azadi March due to certain reservation on it, ARY News reported.

Imran Khan held a telephonic conversation with Javed Hashmi and tried to persuade him, he assured the later that all his reservations will be addressed, to which Makhdoom Javed Hashmi did not give a definite response.

On the other hand, PTI senior vice-president, Shah Mehmood Qureshi chaired a party meeting here, during which it was decided that a party delegation will be sent to Hashmi, which will meet him prior to the press conference, he is expected to hold today.

For this purpose, a four member delegation of PTI, comprising of Umer Dar, Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly, Mehmood ur Rasheed and two others, has already set out to Multan to meet Makhdoom Javed Hashmi.
