The hue and cry raised after the LB polls eventually worried the PTI chairman, who at first expressed regret over allegations of rigging and then himself suggested the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to hold re-elections across the province.

Imran Khan especially expressed regret over the charges pressed by Jamaat e Islami (JI), a coalition partner in PTI-led government in KP.

Despite having suggested re-elections, Khan added that it is Tehreek-i-Insaf which has secured historic majority in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
