KARACHI: Police shot dead a suspected robber in an encounter at Karachi’s Keamari area, ARY News reported on Friday.
According to police sources, an exchange of fire took place between the armed men and police in port area of Keamari, in which a gunman was killed.
The slain robber was identified as Israr, who was wanted to police in a number of robbery cases.
Police also recovered weapons from the crime scene.
Police also apprehended 50 persons in the jurisdiction of Gizri Police Station over involved in one-wheeling. Forty motorcycles were also seized by the police.
Cases have been filed against the people involved in the dangerous driving practice.
