Bandits flee after attacking Lahore’s Dolphin Force
Couple of bandits waylaid a pedestrian and robbing him on gunpoint, when Dolphin force personnel spotted them and approached to the spot. Sensing danger, the armed culrpits opened fire on the Dolphin Police officers.
One of the officers sustained injuries and was moved to Meo Hospital. The injured cop was identified as Tabassum. The cops managed to flee from the scene.
The Dolphin Force was set up by the Punjab government couple of months ago. Inspector General Police Mushtaq Sukhera had said that officials of Turk National Police had extended all-out cooperation in the setting up of this force and it had been imparted training on modern lines.
Recently the passing-out of the first batch of 700 jawans of Dolphin Force was also held. Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif had announced in April to extend the Dolphin Police Force to four other cities of the province.
