KARACHI: Robbers snatched the vehicle of a Sindh Assembly member in Defence area of Karachi, ARY News reported on Thursday.
The looters snatched the car, a white Toyota Corolla bearing registration no. GSC-836, from Defence area of the metropolis.
The whereabouts of the vehicle is unknown.
SSP South said that the MPA was not present in the market whereas the driver was going to meat market – located at PNS Shifa Road at Defence Phase-II – to buy household items.
The suspects also thrashed the driver as he tried to foil the snatching bid.
Ghulam Qadir Chandio of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) was elected in the Sindh Assembly from PS-27 Nawabshah IV- constituency.
It should be noted that street crimes are at a rise in Karachi and many cities have been robbed off their mobile phones, vehicles and valuable items.
