Rs180mn released for construction of engineering university in Sialkot: Asif

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Saturday said Rs180 million have been released for the construction of Engineering University in Sialkot.

“The government has taken number of bold decisions under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif,” he said while addressing a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers’ convention in Sialkot.

Talking about another project for Sialkot, he said the construction works of Motorway have been started which will link Sambharial and Sowala.

Asif said that the government has successfully addressed all the challenges facing the country. He said that power load shedding by end of this year completely. He said to achieve the zero load-shedding goal, several energy projects are under completion

“The enemies of Pakistan are trying to create hurdles in the path of development of the country,” he said.

He said that PML-N-led government has improved the law and order situation in the country due to joint effort of political parties and sacrifices rendered by the security forces.

Referring to Panama Leaks case, Khawaja Asif also said that the prime minister has presented himself and his three generations for accountability before the court and the nation.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister of Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique said PLM-N led government has put the country on the path of development and prosperity by taking concrete measures.

He said PML-N came into power when the whole country was in the grip of load shedding and the most of the country was affected by terrorism in 2013.

“The PML-N is fulfilling its promises to remove the darkness and will establish peace and stability in the country under the leadership of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif,” he said.

The railways minister said that the PML-N also promised the nation that it will play due role to fight the Kashmir case on international fora and the PM has raised the Kashmir cause with effective home work.

He said PTI Chief Imran Khan is leveling baseless allegation against Prime Minister and his family but he could not provide any evidence in this regard.
