DOHA: South Africa Women defeated Pakistan Women in the last group match of PCB Qatar Women's 20-over Tri-Series at West End Park International Cricket Stadium, Doha on Wednesday, ARY News reported.
South Africa won the toss and chooses to field first. They with combined bowling performance kept Pakistan under control and didn’t allow Pakistani women to take charge over them.
Pakistan lost early wickets but Nahida Khan played impressive knock of 33 runs. She was well supported by Nida Dar and Sidra Ameen scoring 17 and 16 runs respectively.
With the help of these three batsmen Pakistani Women set the target of 97 runs.
South African bowler, Moseline Daniels took three wickets conceding 17 runs.
Chasing 97 runs South Africa faced early blow of Trisha Chetty but their skipper M du Preez(38) and opener Lizelle Lee(30) provided the stand of 60 runs.
South Africa chased the target in the last over at the loss of three wickets with 5 balls remaining.
The final of the tournament will be played between the two teams on January 23 (Thursday).
