SA Speaker, others condemn media attacks
KARACHI: Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani has condemned attacks on media houses, ARY News reported on Tuesday.
Talking to media in Sindh Assembly premises Speaker Durrani said that only turbaned Taliban were not involved in terrorism but other groups are also involved.
He urged for decisive action to defeat terrorism in the country.
Muslim League-Nawaz leader Irfanullah Marwat has said that along with turbaned Taliban, 'jeans wearing' Taliban are also operating in the country. Everyone is aware about those funding the BLA, he said.
Marwat demanded of the government to expose the elements involved in attacks on the media.
Deputy Speaker Shahla Raza, MQM's Khawaja Izharul Hassan, Muslim League-Functional's Nusrat Sehar Abbasi and PTI's Khurram Sher Zaman condemned the attacks on media and called it a conspiracy to distract attention from the situation in Karachi.
