Saad announces compensation for Khushal Express blast victims

LAHORE: Federal Minister for Railways, Khwaja Saad Rafiq has announced Rs 5 lacs each for the ones killed and Rs 1 lac each for the injured of the Khushal Express blast – ARY News reports.

According to Pakistan Railways (PR) Spokesperson, after the directives of the Railways Minister a three member committee has also been formed to probe into the incident, which will present its report within 4 days.

The Spokesperson told that Saad Rafiq has announced Rs 5 lacs of compensation each for the ones killed and Rs 1 lac for the injured of the Khushal Khan Khattak Express blast.

Meanwhile, General Manager (GM) Railways, Anjum Pervez told that there is no barrier or breakage and the main line from Karachi to Peshawar has been restored for movement of trains.

He elaborated that all the passenger and goods trains are moving now and the passengers of the affected train are been taken to their destination as well.

Earlier today, an explosion in Karachi bound Khushhal Khan Khattak Express near Rajanpur, had derailed the train resulting in death of three persons, while more that 50 people were injured.
