Sadiq negates any tension between Gov't, military
LAHORE: The Speaker of the National Assembly (NA) of Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has mentioned that there is no tension between the Government and the military; however a difference of opinion can be there on procedure – ARY News reports.
Talking to media here on Friday, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq clarified that there is no strain between the Government of Pakistan and the military, and all the institutions are working within their constitutional boundaries.
He mentioned that difference of opinion can be there on procedures, between the institutions, but strain is something out of question.
Sadiq stated that talks with Taliban are underway and a ceasefire will be continued, however he mentioned that if a stage comes that the national security of the state is challenged, then the military and all concerned institutions will discharge their duties accordingly.
