Salman Ahmed takes a jab at Virat Kohli

KARACHI: Pakistan’s renowned musician Salman Ahmed took a jab at Indian batsman Virat Kohli after India’s humiliating defeat to Australia in Cricket World Cup’s semi final, ARY News reported.

The famous guitarist while appearing as a guest in ARY News show ‘Har Lamha Purjosh’ mocked the India batsman’s Virat Kohli’s poor performance in the World Cup semi final by saying that it reminds him of an advertisement in which Kohli appears alongside his girlfriend Anushka Sharma.

Salman went on to say that Virat only followed what his girlfriend Anushka Sharma said in the ad “Virat, I want you to be here in 5 minutes” sending gags of laughter among the audience of the show.

It must be noted that Virat Kohli and his Bollywood girlfriend appear in a shampoo advertisement in which the girlfriend asks the cricketer to reach her place in five minutes to see if he hides a secret.

India’s World Cup final hopes came crashing down with the crucial wicket of Virat Kohli for just one in the semi-final against Australia in Sydney on Thursday.

Kohli lasted just 13 balls before he attempted to pull Australia’s Mitchell Johnson only to loft a catch for wicketkeeper Brad Haddin in the 16th over.

Kohli’s girlfriend looked on glumly in the stands as India slumped to 78 for two in the 16th over chasing 329 for victory.

Not only the actress and Kohli  had to face public wrath after the disastrous loss but Twitteratis from the other cricket playing nations trolled Indian team for their pompous #MaukaMauka and #WeWontGiveitBack campaign.
