Ranbir Kapoor has transformed into a superstar over the years, ever since he made his debut with the movie Saawariya. Interestingly, Salman Khan was also part of the movie. However, more than seven years later, much has changed over the years. For one, Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan have broken up and the actress has now moved on to date Rockstar actor Ranbir Kapoor. Yet, it seems like fans of Salman Khan have a hard time digesting that and have been recently a little aggressive towards Ranbir.

This is what a source close to Ranbir Kapoor said, “Who Katrina ko lekar Ranbir ke peeche padd gaye hain haath dho ke(they are after Ranbir because of Katrina). So much hatred from one actor’s fans…it’s not healthy.”
The source close to Ranbir also said that the angry reaction was also due to the fact that Salman’s fans wanted Prem Ratan Dhan Payo to continue its strong run at the box office and wanted to sabotage Ranbir’s Tamasha.

“Salman fans want to sabotage Ranbir’s new release Tamasha because they want the uninterrupted run of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo at the box office to continue,” said the source. “It was never like this during Ranbir’s grandfather Raj Kapoor and father Rishi Kapoor’s times. They co-existed with their colleagues most harmoniously. Now we have Ranbir being attacked on communal grounds. Salman stands for secular values, he should rein-in his fanatical followers.”

Ranbir Kapoor himself is not part of any social networking website such as Twitter or Facebook. However, his father Rishi Kapoor is quite active on Twitter and uses the medium frequently to air his opinions on certain subject-matters.

Needless to say, Katrina Kaif has involuntarily become the cause of controversy for Ranbir Kapoor. Will all the threats, abuses and what not take its toll on the Tamasha actor?
