Salman Khan is perhaps the most eligible actor in Bollywood at the moment, who refuses to get hitched. The Bollywood star has a string of famous girlfriends, which include Katrina Kaif and Aishwarya Rai, all of whom have chosen other beaus. While Katrina remains cordial with Salman ever since she broke up with him and entered into a relationship with Ranbir, things haven’t been as good with Aishwarya.
The Bollywood actress and Salman Khan were a couple early on, but broke up bitterly and still aren’t on good terms as of yet. At a press conference to promote Bigg Boss 9 Salman Khan was asked whether Aishwarya Rai would be welcome to promote her upcoming movie Jazbaa, the actor at first ignored the question.
When prodded again, this is what Salman said:-
“This had to be the last question before the PR takes away the mike. Claps for this question. Jazbaati sawal…kar diya (Emotional question was asked).”
Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan were in a relationship with each other till 2002, when they had a bitter fight. Rumour has it that Salman Khan had become quite possessive of Aishwarya Rai and had also almost confronted her physically on the sets of Chalte Chalte. Had Shah Rukh Khan not intervened, it would have resulted in an even more ugly incident.
Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai avoid each other ever since their break up and don’t attend events where they are bound to meet as well.
Salman Khan was promoting the latest season of Bigg Boss 9, which is bound to feature new contestants (who remain unnamed). Appearances from actors in order to promote their movies are quite frequent on the show.
