Salman Khan verdict to be announced on 6th May!

May 6th could very well mean curtains for Dabangg Khan if he’s found guilty.

If Salman Khan is announced guilty on May 6th, the star actor could very well be wearing stripes for ten years! A sessions court will announce the judgment on the above said date and Salman will have to be present at the time of the hearing. Section 304 Part II (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) , the enhanced charge under which Khan was tried carries a maximum sentence of upto ten year’s imprisonment.

Salman Khan’s hit and run case took a surprise twist when last month, a defense witness named Ashok Singh testified in court that it was in fact him and not Salman behind the wheel, the tragic night when Salman allegedly ran over five people, killing one.

Things are looking bad for the ace actor as he had told the jury he wasn’t drunk and had just consumed water from Rain Bar and J W Marriot, hours prior to the accident. The chemical analyzer in the case had earlier stated that Salman was under the influence of alcohol. Salman has also been in trouble with the law over poaching blackbucks in 1998, during the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hain.

Only time will tell whether Salman will live another day outside the prison bars or the actor will finally have to slip on the handcuffs. In teh recent past, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt was also imprisoned under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Act for allegedly possessing illegal weapons.

With multitude hits and high grossing movies, Salman Khan remains one of the most popular and prolific Bollywood stars of today. If Salman is sentenced to prison, it certainly won’t bode well for fans of the Bollywood celebrity.
