Salman’s ‘Jai Ho’ inspired from Hollywood film
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s forthcoming film ‘Jai Ho’ is a remake of A R Murugadoss’s Telugu film ‘Stalin’. Now Indian media reports reveal the Telegu film itself is inspired from the 2000 Hollywood film ‘Pay it Forward’, which features Kavin Spacey alongside Helen Hunt.
But even more surprising thing is that the ‘Jai Ho’ trailer, which was released on December 12th, is also similar to the Hollywood film. The beginning part of the trailer, that shows Khan scribbling what appears like a family tree, is said to be copied.
When the film director Sohail Khan was contacted, he refused to comment.
The action-drama tells the story of truthful and morally standing man who stands up against corruption and crime. ‘Jai Ho’, which also features Tabu, Danny Danzongpa and Daisy Shah, is slated to release on 24th January 2014.
