THARPARKAR: ARY News morning show team accompanied by the anchor, Sanam Baloch, has reached the drought-hit Tharparkar district to bring forth the miserable conditions of poor people suffering from malnutrition and different diseases – ARY News reports.
According to details, Sanam Baloch talked to different people and inquired them about the relief works, it was reported that most of the people have not yet received any kind of relief goods, who are living in distant areas of the calamity-hit district.
The anchor also visited the hospitals there and brought the poor medical conditions before the viewers. It was shown that there were no accommodations for the patients as they along with their relatives were sitting on dirt full and insanitary floor waiting for the doctors and paramedics to treat them.
Sanam also talked to doctors and urged them to treat the patients with utmost sincerity and care. Numerous callers also called the anchor during the live transmission and praised the efforts of the ARY News show team, they also announced donations for Thar affectees.
Meanwhile, drought has also extended its roots up to Khairpur, Sanghar and other districts of Sindh, where some 4 children were reported dead during the last three days.
Moreover, Ehsas and Khwaja Ghareeb Nawaz (KGN) Trusts are also leading the relief works in Thar Desert, where the poor people are being provided with all the commodities essential for their survival.
Due to unavailability of transportation means, relief goods to distant areas like Chachro and Nangarparkar could not be dispatched, whilst another child succumbed to starvation in the district today.
