Sanjrani led parliamentary delegation calls on Saudi crown prince

ISLAMABAD: An 11-member parliamentary delegation led by Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani on Monday called on Saudi Crown Prince at the Prime Minister’s house, ARY News reported.

The delegation discussed matters related to mutual interest between the two Islamic countries.

Mr Sanjrani welcoming the Saudi Crown Prince said that his visit is start of new era of the bilateral bonds between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

“Pakistan warmly welcomes the huge investments being done by the Kingdom in the country,” chairman Senate said.

The chairman Senate was accompanied by Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser, Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri, Ali Mohammed Khan, Aamir Dogar, Shibli Faraz, Azam Swati, Raja Zafaru Haq, Mushahidullah Khan, Shery Rehman and Aurangzeb Orakzai.

On the occasion, Sanjrani presented a gold plated gun and portrait of his to Mohammed Bin Salman as gift, the sources said.

After meeting the parliamentary delegation, the Saudi crown prince has reached the President House amid tight security.

Mbs will be awarded Pakistan’s highest civilian award Nishan-e-Pakistan at the presidency and will also attend the lunch organized by President Arif Alvi in his honour.

Earlier on Sunday, Prime Minister Imran Khan, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and other high-ranking state officials warmly welcomed Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman upon his arrival in Pakistan on a maiden visit to the country.

PM Khan himself drove the Saudi crown prince to the Prime Minister House, where a 21-gun salute and a guard of honour were presented to the visiting royal.
