WASHINGTON: Following the strategic dialogues with US Secretary of State John Kerry, Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz visited Pentagon and had a meeting with US Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel, ARY News reported.
The two leaders discussed bilateral cooperation specifically relating to defense and security matters.
On the occasion Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz expressed satisfaction over positive progress of defense relations of the two countries urging to strengthen it further.
Defence Secretary Asif Yasin Malik and Pakistani Ambassador Jalil Abbas Jilani were also present.
Earlier, a joint statement was issued at the end of strategic dialogue in Washington mentioning that the two sides recognized their shared interest in Pakistan’s economic growth‚ increased trade and regional stability.
Furthermore, both the sides expressed their satisfaction over outcome of the talks‚ which were held in a friendly atmosphere.
