Sarwat meets Musharraf, discusses political situation

KARACHI: Chief of Pakistan Sunni Tehreek (PST), Sarwat Ejaz Qadri on Wednesday called on former president, General (retd) Pervez Musharraf and exchanged views with him on current situation of the country and Barack Obama’s recent visit to India, ARY News reported.

During the meeting, Pervez Musharraf said that China is an exemplary friend of Pakistan, while there is nothing to worry about US President Barack Obama’s visit to India.

“Pakistan is a country many times stronger than India and it has the capability to defend itself in any way”, said the former president.

“Pakistan Army is currently in a state of war and the Army Chief, General Raheel Sharif is heading in the right direction”, he added.

On this occasion, Sarwat Ejaz Qadri said that he and his party is standing by the military for the sake of national security and eradication of terrorism.

He said, “We instead of fearing the terrorists have been raising our voice against them”.
