According to Arab TV, meeting of moon sightings committee were called on the appeal of Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court. The committee after receiving several acknowledgments of moon sighting from different parts of the country announced the beginning of Shawwal.
Similarly, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates have also said Eid al-Fitr would begin Monday. The Iraqi and Palestinian grand muftis have also made similar announcements.
The largest gathering of Eid prayer will be held at Makkah in Masjid ul Harm where millions of people will perform Eid prayer.
