ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court on Monday ordered the I.G. Police of Punjab to take action against the people responsible for Gujrat van mishap, which claimed lives of 17 persons, ARY News reported.
A bench of the apex court announced its verdict of the Gujrat van tragedy today.
Sixteen schoolchildren and a teacher were burnt to death in deadly incident on May 25 this year in Gujrat when their school van’s gas cylinder exploded in the Kot Fateh Din area of Gujrat. Atleast seven children were seriously injured in the blaze which destroyed the van which carrying 24 children.
The court also ordered pullout of the vehicles from roads, running without road fitness certificates in the country.
