Only SC can omit Musharraf's name from ECL: Pervez Rasheed
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Information Minister, Senator Pervez Rasheed while greeting General (R) Pervez Musharraf on his recovery, has said that only the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan is authorized to exclude his name from the Exit Control List (ECL) – ARY News reports.
Speaking about negotiations with Taliban, the Information Minister told that the Government is pondering upon Taliban's demand, reduction in terrorism incidents is an achievement, but the Government wants to halt all this permanently. He claimed that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is striving to take out the country from battles.
Commenting on Afghanistan's situation, Pervez Rasheed told that whatever Pakistan seeks for itself, it wants the same for its neighbor. He stated that Pakistan wants a peaceful transition of power in Afghanistan through transparent elections there.
Rasheed, while talking about US drone attacks, said that PM Nawaz take up this issue with the US President Barrack Obama, United Nations (UN) and international fraternity, and everybody accepted our stance.
He further clarified neither Pakistan wants anyone to interfere in its affairs, nor does it have any such policy regarding other states.
