The apex court on a review petition of federal minister Khawaja Asif has removed the condition and ordered the government to complete the appointments of the heads of various government institutions by this December.
A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk has declared that after the court’s decision there was no hurdle in appointments on top posts of the government institutions and ordered completion of appointments by December this year.
The court had reserved its verdict over the petition in October, which was issued today.
Moreover, Chief Justice of Pakistan has taken suo moto notice of the issue of promotions and transfers in Capital Development Authority (CDA).
The court issued notices to Cabinet Secretary and Chairman CDA and ordered the Registrar Office to fix the date of the hearing of the case.
