ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court on Monday suspended a Sindh High Court (SHC) order regarding deletion of the name of former president Pervez Musharraf from the Exit Control List (ECL), ARY News reported.
The government had challenged the SHC decision in the apex court pleading that the former military ruler could not leave the country due to several high profile cases against him.
The court today approved the government’s plea for hearing and will hear the case from the next week.
A two-member bench of the SHC had approved the plea of former president with the condition that the former president could not leave country for 15 days. The court had also given the government 15 days to file appeal against the decision.
The government had challenged the decision in supreme court, which suspended the SHC order today.
