ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan has said that the provinces and the Federation are not fulfilling their responsibilities, our citizens are missing, we should not sleep. It was further stated that no more time can be given; authorities should pass the orders for the production of missing people – ARY News reports.
According to details, an SC bench headed by Justice Jawwad S Khwaja heard the case on Tuesday pertaining to 35 missing persons.
During the hearing, Advocate General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Lateef Yousufzai told the court that the people found missing were whisked away by military personnel.
He added that the military officials have been consulted on the issue, whereas a committee comprising of KP Home Secretary, Commissioner Malakand Division and Superintendent of Malakand detention center, has also been formed for investigating the facts and recovering the people.
Lateef Yousufzai told that the provincial government is monitoring all the detention centers in search of the 35 missing persons.
