Second Test: India to start 2nd day at 181/1

DURBAN: India will start the second day of the second test match at 181/1 against South Africa here on Thursday, ARY News reports.

On the first day, India won the toss and elected to bat first.

The Proteas got their first breakthrough when Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed at 41 runs as he scored 29 runs.

After the dismissal of Dhawan, the bowling department of South Africa could not do much as Cheteshwar Pujara and Murali Vijay played exquisite stokes and contributed an unbeaten 140 run partnership.

Murali Vijay is at the crease with 91 runs whereas Cheteshwar Pujara is batting  at 58 runs.

Proteas pacer Morne Morkel took the only wicket of the day.

The test match is an important encounters as one of the best all-rounders of the game Jacques Kallis is playing his final test match of career.​
