Security personnel killed, three injured in Khyber landmine attack
PESHAWAR: A security personnel was killed while three others sustained injuries when a landmine exploded in Khyber Agency on Saturday, ARY News reported.
Rescue sources said a vehicle of security forces ran over a landmine, causing explosion in Tirah valley of the Khyber tribal region. A security personnel died in the blast on the spot whereas three others sustained injuries. The dead body and the injured were shifted to a local hospital.
Sources said that the security personnel were on a routine patrol in the area. Following the blast, the security forces cordoned off the spot and launched a search operation in the area to nab perpetrators of the terrorist act.
No banned organisation has yet claimed responsibility of the attack.
