Security Threat: PTI decides to step up Imran Khan’s security

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has decided to step up security of the residence of party’s Chairman Imran Khan in the wake of recent high profile terrorist attacks on politicians, ARY News reported on Wednesday.

Motorbike riding gunmen attacked MQM leader Rashid Godil in Karachi on Tuesday killing his driver and leaving him in critical condition fighting for his life at Liaquat National Hospital of the city. Punjab Home Minister Shuja Khanzada lost his life along with 20 others in a bomb attack in Attock.

The security of PTI Chairman Imran Khan has been stepped up due to the threat, party sources said. It was also decided to enhance security at Bani Gala residence of Imaran Khan.

The entry of unconcerned people has also been banned at the Chairman’s Secretariat and the central office of the party, sources said.

Imran Khan was also advised earlier to improve his security and now necessary steps being taken in this respect, sources added.
