Sehwan blast should be considered ‘international tragedy’: Khursheed
SUKKUR: Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah has said that the suicide attack at the shrine of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan should be considered an international tragedy, ARY News reported.
He was talking to media in Sukkur on Sunday.
Shah said that several elements want to destabilize the country.
The opposition leader said that implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) against terrorists is necessary as Pakistan cannot become peaceful without it.
Criticizing the federal government, Shah asked that how can there be a foreign policy when there is no foreign minister.
“The rulers need to think that why the country is being destabilized and isolated on a global scale.” Shah said.
He added, “There are many powers who do not want Pakistan to progress and become a stable country. They are making efforts to fulfill their agendas by bringing their favorite parties forward.”
He added that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has fought against terrorism and its leaders have sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorism.
It should be noted that at least 80 people were killed and over 200 were injured in a suicide attack at the shrine of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan on Thursday.
