ISLAMABAD: Senate's Standing Committee on Interior has recommended to fill up 699 vacant seats in Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan, providing state-of-the-art choppers and to make least cut in its budget – ARY News reports.
According to details, Chairman Talha Mehmood chaired the meeting of the standing committee, whilst the recommendations of the committee will be forwarded to the Ministry of Interior.
During the session, the IG FC Balochistan, Major General Aijaz Shahid briefed the members about situation in the province. He told that last year 750 firing incidents took place in which 50 FC troops were killed, whereas this year 1.5 ton explosive material was recovered, but the involved political figures were freed.
Elaborating missing persons case, the IG FC told that 87 such cases were brought forth, out of which in 86 cases there was no evidence found regarding FC's involvement.
The committee was further told that Gohram Bugti is there in Balochistan and escaped people visit and reside with him, while he is also in touch with Barhamdagh Bugti.
