Pakistan People’s Party’s Senator Saeed Ghani tabled the resolution in the upper house of the parliament.

The resolution termed the demand for dissolution of the parliament and resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as unconstitutional.

National Assembly had yesterday unanimously passed a resolution for the supremacy of the constitution and criticized the demand for resignation of the prime minister.

Thousands of the followers of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) have staged sit-ins outside the parliament house in Islamabad demanding resignation of the prime minister.
