Sethi hints Pakistan’s withdrawal from World T20

LAHORE: Head of Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Executive Committee Najam Sethi has hinted that the country may not take part in the World T20 2016 in India due to security concerns, ARY News reports.

Najam Sethi, in his tweet, said that Pakistan reserves the right to pull out of World T20 for security reasons.

Sethi also lauded the Indian media for playing a positive role in resisting the pressure piled by extremist group on Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Sethi also tweeted that BCCI should have the courage to resist the pressure and not mix politics and cricket.

He added that Indian government is interfering in the matters of BCCI, which is in contrast with the spirit of the sport.

The PCB’s Executive Committee Head also said that it is time for cricket diplomacy to ease the tensions between Pakistan and India.

He also said that BCCI should give a final answer regarding the Pakistan-India test series in December.
