JAMAICA: Seven Pakistani players were bought by different franchises of the Caribean Premier League during the auction here in Jamaica, ARY News reports on Saturday.
Surprisingly, senior players of Pakistan Shahid Afridi, Fawad Alam and Umar Gul were not bought by any franchise of the cricketing league.
Off spinner Saeed Ajmal was bought by Antigua Hawksbills whereas batsmen Shoaib Malik and Imran Nazir will represent Barbados Tridents. Guyana Amazon bought former Pakistani Twenty20 Captain Mohammad Hafeez for a sum of $80,000 and opener Ahmed Shehzad was sold to Jamica Tallawahs for $70,000.
Sohail Tanvir was bought by St.Lucia Zouks.
Carribbean Premier League will kick off on 5th July.
