PAT leader Qazi Faizullah, while talking to media, said that Punjab Police opened direct fire on the buses of party workers in Bhakkar and Sadhoki.

It should be noted that the standoff between the government and Awami Tehreek intensified Friday evening when PAT workers set aside the containers and other barriers and entered in the Model Town. This prompted law enforcing agencies to attack the activists.

Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri had urged his party workers to break all the barriers and attend Youm-e-Shuhada (Day of Martyrs) on August 10 in Lahore. The party chairman will decide the next strategy in an emergency meeting called on Saturday (today).
