Several forces active for sabotaging talks with Taliban, says Sami
LAHORE: Head of Taliban committee, Molana Sami ul Haq has said that several forces are active for sabotaging negotiations with Taliban, whereas internal differences among different factions of Taliban, have also caused a delay in negotiations process – ARY News reports.
Talking to media after addressing Khatm e Naboowat (SAW) Seminar here on Saturday, Molana Sami ul Haq said that several forces are active for sabotaging negotiations with Taliban and efforts are continued to obstruct the way of peace. He said that these forces should keep in mind that a military operation will not restore peace, but will spread anarchy.
Sami said that the country is engulfed in terrorism and nobody is safe, however no Muslim can do this and there are foreign forces behind all this.
He further said that the Government and Pakistan Army are on a same page, and in favor of negotiations with Taliban.
The Head of Taliban committee said that internal differences among Taliban factions, is also one of the major reasons for the delay in talks, while the Government is also facing several other issues.
Molana Sami ul Haq expressed his hopes for the contacts to increase between Government and Taliban committees, and for the negotiations process to advance, after May-11.
Moreover, the seminar was also addressed by the Chairman of Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC), Allama Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi and others.
