Karachi: Several injured due to clash between two political groups
KARACHI: A number of people were injured as a result of a clash between two political groups at Five Star Chowrangi, during which workers from both the sides scuffled and also opened fire – ARY News reports.
According to details, a clash between two political groups occurred at the Five Star Chowrangi during which workers from both the sides were seen scuffling with each other, freely using batons to thrash each other as well as firing.
As a consequence, several people were injured who were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Meanwhile, heavy contingent of police reached the site, dispersed the raged workers and took control of the situation.
Our correspondent, Rafay Hussain told that the injured are being given medical aid at the hospital; many of them were reported to receive wounds in heads and were bleeding.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) had announced for a rally at Five Star Chowrangi, which is to take place after some time.
MQM leaders and workers were busy in making arrangements for the rally to express solidarity with MQM Chief, Altaf Hussain that a rival group came and afterwards a furious exchange of words took place over removing the party flags, which later resulted in a clash.
