Shaan disappointed with Pakistani actors over not supporting troops

KARACHI: Actor Shaan Shahid expressed his dismay over Pakistani celebrities not showing support for the Pakistan Army amidst the ongoing tensions with India, ARY News reported.

In his Facebook post on Friday night, Shaan said that it was shameful from Pakistani stars to not show support for Pakistani troops when Indian celebrities backing their military.

“Finally the Indian stars have tweeted in support for Indian troops, It is shameful from the Pakistani actors to not show support for Pakistani troops,” he wrote.

The actor said that “one-film” wonders want to hide their wealth and fame earned from India and don’t wish to jeopardize their ties with India.

“Welcome to the real world boys,” he posted.

Hardline party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) had earlier said that the group will not let Karan Johar release his movie unless all scenes of Fawad Khan are omitted from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil whereas the organization also said that they will not allow peaceful release of film Raees unless all of Mahira Khan’s scenes from the flick are deleted.

Fawad Khan has already returned to Pakistan following the threats by MNS.

Amid tensions Pakistani cinemas have also decided to not screen Indian flicks until further notice.

It should be noted that many Indian celebrities such as Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan and Adnan Sami Khan have tweeted pro-Indian military tweets following the so-called surgical strikes against Pakistan.

Pakistan and India are at loggerheads since Indian government, without any evidence, blamed Pakistan for the attack on its military base in Uri sector in Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 17 Indian soldiers.
