Bollywood legendary actor Amitabh Bachhan and Pakistan singer Shafqat Amanat Ali sang national anthems of their respective countries before the match. However, Pakistan fans were quick to react on Amanat’s fumbling and ‘wrong’ rendition on at least two points when he was singing the anthem.
In contrast, Amitabh did it comparatively much better with good vocals.
Here are some of the tweets from Pakistan fans who took exception to Shafqat Amanat Ali for his lapse on a big stage.
More upset by #Shafqat s #nationalanthem, than losing the game. No excuse for that performance. Can it be termed songfixing? #pakvsindia

They should have hired my primary school kid to recite the national anthem. Absolutely furious. #shafqat @sabassheikh #PTV — Malik Saleem Raza (@MS_Raza111) March 19, 2016

Shafqat Amanat Ali’s rendition of the National Anthem is beyond terrible. Wish they could have gotten Khuymariyaan instead !
