Shah apologizes over ‘Muhajir’ statement
Talking to media shortly after a press conference addressed by MQM leader Haider Abbas Rizvi, Khursheed Shah said, “I myself is the oldest migrant to this land, for my ancestors had migrated to Sindh from Arab, some 500 years ago”.
He told that his statement was not aimed at hurting the sentiments of anyone, yet if did so then he apologizes for it publicly.
Shah however, said that the word migrant is not a right choice for the people living in Sindh, adding that we all are brothers.
He said that the MQM chief, Altaf Hussain has time and again referred to Sindh as their motherland, so for the populace of Sindh ‘Muhajir’ is not a right word.
