Shah insists on parliament consensus on Yemen decision

ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah has insisted upon the government to take parliament into confidence before reaching any decision on Yemen, ARY News reported.

In a statement, Shah said government must not take any solitary decision on the core issue.

He said Pakistan was already in a state of war, hence any such move could lead to chaotic situation.

Couple of days back, Defence Minister Khwaja Asif had told the parliament that government will take the Parliament into confidence before taking any decision

He said the government has only made a pledge to defend Saudi Arabia in case of any danger to its territorial integrity.

The government will not take such a decision which will have negative impact in the future, he added.
