Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgan have both stayed away from each other pretty much their whole careers. So much so, that the actors have never shared screen space and starred in a movie together. However, surprisingly, Shah Rukh Khan shares a great on-screen as well as off-screen rapport with Ajay’s wife and actress Kajol. Devgan recently had a lot to say about the subject.

“We are not good friends as we don’t meet often. We are very casual. Whenever we meet we are like colleagues… It is all normal between us,” said Devgan.

Tensions between Ajay Devgan and Shah Rukh Khan had reached an all-time high when both of their films released in 2012, Shah Rukh’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Ajay Devgan’s Singham in 2012. A bitter rivalry had ensured over screen sharing between the two Bollywood heavyweights.

“We did not talk about it. It was not a war between me and Shah Rukh or Adi (producer Aditya Chopra) and me. It was between ADF (Ajay Devgn Films) and YRF (Yash Raj Films). Both were right as we both were trying to protect our films… A lot of money was riding on both the films. So we had to fight for our product.”

“I did message Adi saying I had nothing against him… and have no qualms,” he added.

Recently pictures of Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgan started doing the rounds on social media, as both stars were pictured dining together in Bulgaria, during Shah Rukh’s shoot for Dilwale, an upcoming movie that stars him with Kajol in the lead.

“It was over hyped. I feel the whole problem between us was also over hyped as there was no problem. The media just kept writing about it,” said Ajay about all the hype surrounding his dinner with Shah Rukh.

Ajay Devgan will be seen in his upcoming film Drishyam, which also stars veteran Bollywood actress Tabu as well as Shirya Saran and Rajat Kapoor and is slated to release on July 31.
