Bollywood’s ace superstar Shah Rukh Khan went knee surgery and was advised bed rest for three to four days. The actor was operated upon at Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital.
Sanjay Desai, who operated on the Fan star, said in a statement: “Mr Khan has been suffering from repeated pain and swelling of left knee over the last several months. Today’s surgery confirms chondral wear of Patella, which is due to repeated injuries over the last few years. Based on today’s arthroscopic evaluation, future management will be planned. He has recovered well and is likely to be discharged on Friday.”
The injury might have been enough to keep SRK from shaking a leg or filming scenes for his upcoming movies yet it couldn’t keep the actor from using Twitter. From the hospital bed, Shah Rukh tweeted:-
Do they do Fequent Fliers Miles in Hospitals? If yes, I would own some of the hospitals! Thx all for standing by me as I pray on my knees…

The injury has forced Shah Rukh to delay filming for Raees for a couple of days. Khan’s upcoming movie also stars Pakistani beauty Mahira Khan and is being anxiously awaited by fans. Shah Rukh has previously also injured himself on sets, especially whilst filming for Happy New Year when he tore his left knee’s patellar tendon and also fractured his shoulder.
Shah Rukh will also be seen in another upcoming film titled Dilwale, which will star Kajol with him in the lead role and Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon as cast members. Best of luck for King Khan, we hope he recovers from his injury soon and gets back to the filming set and does what he does best!
