Shahbaz announces fund raising campaign for IDPs

LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has announced a fund raising campaign for the people displaced due to Zarb-e-Azb military offensive in North Waziristan, ARY News reports.

A meeting of the steering committee was held in Lahore under the leadership of CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif. In the meeting, the officials reviewed the aid being given to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).

Adressing the meeting, Shahbaz Sharif said that all arrangements for providing case to the IDPs are complete. It is our right to help the displaced persons.

“Punjab Government will not rest till the displaced persons are fully rehabilitated”, Shahbaz said.

He also announced that Chief Minister’s Relief Fund has been formed and urged the people to give donations for the IDPs. He said that each penny will be given to the IDPs with integrity.

CM Punjab visited Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) provincial minister Khurram Gulfam at Services Hospital and inquired about his health. He instructed the doctors to provide all the necessary medical attention to Khurram Gulfam.

Shahbaz Sharif also visited Majeed Nizami at Punjab Institute of Cardiology and  presented a bouquet to him.
