Shahbaz announces Rs 1 crore each for cops killed in Gracy Line attack
RAWALPINDI: The investigation of the Gracy Line suicide attack is underway, while the head of the bomber has been shifted to the hospital for surgery. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister Punjab has announced Rs 1 crore of compensation for the cops killed in the attack – ARY News reports.
According to details, the FIR of the Gracy Line attack was registered by the new SHO in Airport police station, which included terrorism and attempt to murder clauses.
At least 4 people were killed including 2 cops in the suicide attack yesterday outside an imambargah, while 17 others were injured. Among the injured, 4 are still reported to be in critical condition.
Rawalpindi police has formed special committees for investigating the incident.
Meanwhile, the head of the suicide bomber and other body parts were also shifted to the hospital for DNA examination. A team of NADRA officials is also assisting the police for identifying the suicide bomber.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced Rs 1 crore of compensation for the families of the cops killed during the cowardly attack on an imambargah.
The on-duty policemen had obstructed the suicide attacker riding on a motorbike at the outermost check-post, where he blew himself off.
