Shahbaz directs to form JIT on Molana Shams Muawiya’s killing
LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif has directed to form a joint investigation team (JIT) for investigating the killing of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamat (ASWJ) leader, Molana Shams ur Rahman Muawiya and ordered to arrest the culprits immediately – ARY News reports.
The Chief Minister chaired a meeting here on Monday to review the law and order situation in the province. He urged the concerned departments to play an active role in order to maintain law and order.
Speaking about the killing of Molana Shams ur Rahman Muawiya, Shahbaz directed the officials to for a JIT and to bring all the culprits before the law. He advised to take necessary measures to prevent such incidents in future.
Shahbaz Sharif also ordered to remove banners, posters and wall chalking based on sectarianism all over the province. He urged for an action against the ones delivering provocative speeches and to strictly insure the implementation of law imposing ban on the use of loud-speakers.
The CM Punjab further directed the security officials to make fool-proof arrangements on account of Chehlum Imam Hussain (R.A), Hazrat Data Ganj Baksh’s Urs and Christmas Eve.
