LAHORE: Taking a swipe at his political opponents, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Wednesday that those indulging in politics of leveling baseless accusations, stoking anarchy and telling lies, have no concerns about the welfare of the public.
In a statement on Wednesday, he said that politics was not about playing tricks but it is an ardent service of the masses.
The chief minister said that the designs of negative elements have never succeeded before and will never succeed in future.
He said that those doing politics of fomenting chaos, leveling allegations and telling lies have no concern about the well-being of the public. Politicians who were not interested in serving the masses had wasted the nation’s time, he added.
Shahbaz said those creating hurdles in the journey of development will have to be held to account for their negative agendas, adding that jugglers would face defeat in the 2018 general elections.
Conscious and discerning people will reject those opposing development in the country, he further said.
