KARACHI: Punjab Chief Minister has taken notice of a tweet by PPP leader Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in which he said that he has received a threatening letter from banned militant group of Lashkar-e-Jahngvi (LeJ), ARY News reported on Friday.
On directives of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, provincial police chief contacted with Bilawal Bhutto over the threat.
Bilawal appreciated the prompt action of Shahbaz Sharif over the threat to his person and his party leaders.
Punjab chief minister had directed the concerned officials to probe into the matter.
Earlier, Bilawal Bhutto, in his tweet, warned to hold the Punjab government responsible for sheltering the banned militant outfit and refusing to take any action against them in case an attack was launched against him.
Bilawal Bhutto has been the most vocal and bold voice among the Pakistani political leadership against the militant groups since start of his political career last year.
