Shahbaz visits IDPs’ camps in Bannu

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Monday visited the camps of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Bannu and reiterated to resolve hardships facing the displaced people of North Waziristan, ARY News reported.

The CM Punjab affirmed that nation stood by the IDPs in the testing time. On arrival, Sharif was briefed on operation Zarb-e-Azb and rehabilitation of IDPs.

He said 180 million people of the country had their prayers with displaced persons.

Earlier, Governor Khyber Pakhtonkhwa Sardar Mehtab said prime minister made all-out efforts for peace talks with the Taliban, however the eventual decision of using force against the militants was taken after careful consideration.

He said tribal people had always played key role in defence of the country. Masses will always remember the sacrifices rendered by the people of tribal areas, he added.
